I'm sometimes a full-on extrovert, with a good sense of humour and a great heart. I'm kind and generous, neat tidy and well-organised.
I have a strong liberal Christian faith, and I worship regularly. I'm also a fundraiser and volunteer for our local church. I'm a retired GP with special interests in A&E, Safeguarding and Dermatology.
I like music, particularly choral: I sing in our church choir and also in a male voice choir. I do a fair bit of DIY and gardening.
I'm interested in genealogy, astronomy, reading and art generally. I enjoy walking; I don't have any pets. I enjoy travel, preferably with company.
I have 2 daughters, both living miles away, of whom I'm very proud. No grandchildren though.
I've been a widower for 3 years now.
And although I'm comfortable in my jeans, I think I feel at my best in my kilt!

I'm looking for someone to be best friends with, to laugh with, to sit in comfortable silence and to cuddle up to. Perhaps I will find my soulmate: someone to share the rest of my life with?
I don't mind travelling to meet someone, and I hope to meet someone who's equally happy to travel.
I'd hope we could share a Christian faith. I'd like to just be together and also to dance and sing: I'd like to cook together and also to go out for meals. I’d like to travel in the UK and abroad with someone special. I'd like to sip a drink and watch the sun rise or set [but probably not both] and watch the stars. I'd like to walk along the beach or in the countryside. I'd like to visit new cities and countries: for the right person I'd even like to go shopping!
