So, are you sitting on the train on the way to work staring out of the window into the gloom and wondering what life is all about. Desperately hoping Mr Darcy will come and sit next to you and crack open a bottle of Bollinger Grand Année ? Hey, get real, there’s only a one in four chance of that happening so how about me in the meantime ?
I’m happy, laid-back, intelligent (know what osmosis is and what DNA stands for… that’ll do). Have travelled extensively both in Europe and Asia (ex backpacker, but still have the backpack) always thinking of heading off somewhere. I’m baggage free (not sure what that means but notice everybody wants it so put it in). Emotionally stable (unless I listen to Maria Callas or Shirley Bassey in which case I’m in floods of tears).
I can cook. Either ends up Michelin * or in the dog. About 50/50.
Always looking for new things to try, I’d love to learn to dance but don’t think I would be much good (I even get the Hokey Cokey wrong, I put the left leg in when everyone else is doing the right leg… chaos ensues🙁).
From London originally but now split my time between Poole and Bude.....return regularly though, can’t beat a walk around Hyde Park or wandering around a gallery wondering if I could’ve painted that Rothko myself. Love being near the sea, countryside and clifftop walks.
I enjoy theatre especially musicals (I know, I know, can’t help it), country pubs, a log fire, reading, hiking (just walked some of the Santiago De Compostela Camino… Gasp !).
Sports… Squash was my game but thinking of taking up Padel Tennis instead (God am I getting old?)
Have a Campervan called Hugo that allows me to whizz off on spur of the moment adventures across Europe.
