About him
I am full of love, my heart set to soar,
Ready to cherish, to open the door.
For the right one awaits, a partner divine,
Together we'll thrive, let our spirits entwine.
Passions abound, a kaleidoscope bright,
Opera and theatre bring endless delight.
Edinburgh Fringe, my haven, my muse,
Where creativity blooms and dreams enthuse.
Two sons I adore, grown, yet so dear,
And grandsons whose laughter I cherish near.
Hours with them pass with never a sigh,
Moments of joy that money can't buy.
Two aeroplanes, my wings through the air,
One for grand journeys, one smaller, less chèr.
Teaching my students how to fly a plane,
And making videos, mundane and arcane.
Curiosity drives me, it lights up my mind,
In history, geography, treasures I find.
From arts to economics, my thirst never fades,
Exploring each world as knowledge cascades.
In the kitchen, I flourish, my craft I hone,
Baguettes each evening, with butter, my own.
The simple joys of baking, a gift I share,
With laughter and love filling the air.
Cycling each day, twenty-five miles I ride,
For fitness, for joy, through the countryside.
The rhythm, the freedom, the path I embrace,
A journey of heart, at life's steady pace.
A magistrate's bench, where justice is crucial,
Case after case, to me for perusal.
For fairness and truth, I am the beak,
Finding the balance which all sides would seek.
My home is a haven where refugees stay,
Though some would sneer and wish them away.
Let critics jeer; my life won’t conform,
To the hatred and prejudice that is Reform.
But oh, the best joy, the simplest art,
Is sitting and chatting, heart to heart.
In quiet moments, connection is found,
Where laughter and wisdom gently abound.
They say of ages, no-one is truthful,
Take two years off, try to be youthful.
But April of '57, my story stays true,
A height of 5'11", unembellished for you.
So here I am, a life richly spun,
With passions, with love, with joy and with fun.

In the skies, on the earth, where dreams and life meet.

My ideal match would think young, not old, be adventurous and want to fly all over Europe.
She would enjoy theatre and opera and want to spend time with my grandchildren (as well as her own, if applicable!)
Cycling would be a plus, and cooking together.
But, you know what? There is no ideal, I now know that. Just be you.
