I'm 45 this year and I'm thinking how the hell did that happen? Well, I know; raising a boy who's now in his early teens. He's more independent now and I'm feeling like I'm ready to invite someone new into my life to spend my time with.
I love reading and creative writing, art, running, walking nature, films. I'm not nearly as well read as I'd like others to believe! I used to be quite political and I do what I can for charity and good causes but I'm more focussed now on working on myself and improving my own little world, than trying to change the whole world! But I think people like Greta are awesome so I'm probably not looking for someone on the right of centre, but what matters is honesty and decency and shared interests.

As above, honest, decent. I tend to get on better with those with shared interests; Arts, Literature, Humanities, Travel. I'm not materialistic and don't want to date someone who would buy a sports car over a world trip or memorable experience.
There's got to be a spark of attraction but I don't really have a particular "type". If it's there, it's there. It's nice if someone looks after their body and does a bit of running or gym etc but neither do I want to date a fanatic! I enjoy a glass of wine a few evenings a week, all sorts of food and balance it out with exercise and getting out in beautiful Devon. I do detest smoking and vaping. Sorry! Family is important to me. I'm very close with my siblings. I'm open to meeting a guy with no attachments or one with kids, as long as youve made a clean and definite break from the previous relationship and are looking for something long term and committed.
