About him
I have a happy and varied life and would love to find someone special to share it with. Now retired, I now find myself with plenty of time to relax and enjoy life to the full.
I was brought up to be polite and respectful and have always tried to live my life by these standards. Integrity and authenticity are important qualities that I believe I have and in turn seek in others. I have a busy, enquiring mind and a slightly ironic sense of humour.
I have travelled extensively, lived and worked abroad and still love discovering new places, particularly those a bit "off the beaten track."
I enjoy good design, great coffee and love most types of music (except rap!) and though not artistic myself, really appreciate those who are. I'm not much of a drinker, preferring quality to quantity and have never smoked.
I played rugby into my thirties and still love to watch the game whenever I can. I eat healthily and keep myself fit by walking, riding my e-bike and regularly exercising at a gym, mainly in an attempt to keep at bay the inevitable ravages of time!
My family is extremely important to me - I have two wonderful grown up daughters and four delightful, gorgeous and inspiring grandchildren. Oh and I'm not a bad cook!
PS - in the interest of full disclosure; several of my photos are a couple of years old. I don't have many pictures of myself and I'm not much good at taking selfies. All my life people have told me I don't look my age so please don't let the number "67" put you off, after all there's nothing I can do about it!

My ideal lady would be an attractive, smart, confident woman who is real and enjoys just being herself. Funny, outgoing, inquisitive and kind are all adjectives that paint a positive picture for me. I'm aware though that everything I've just written may only be part of the picture. Some of the best discoveries are those that we didn't even know existed!
