I’m 59 and hoping to meet someone within a million miles of London or Plymouth. I’d prefer to start with some online conversation, phone calls, and, if we get along, meet for coffee or lunch to see where things may go. My photos are all recent and unfiltered—no AI tricks, just me as I am.
I enjoy walking—usually 15-30 miles a week, often along the beautiful nature trails near my home. I also love reading, particularly books and magazines on science and nature, though I occasionally read biographies as well.

Music is a big part of my life. I love timeless classics from the 1940s to the 1980s, including much of what you’d hear on Smooth Radio and Magic FM. I also enjoy discovering great music from more recent times and occasionally listen to classical music—especially Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Rodrigo’s Concerto D'Aranjuez, and Khachaturian’s Adagio from Spartacus.
I’m also a songwriter—I've written about 80 solo songs in the last five years, of which I have shortlisted 71 as worthy and binned the rest along with two dozen others that went nowhere. My music isn’t modern teen-oriented dance pop but comes from a place of sincerity and depth. I write beautiful melodies and authentic, original words. I appreciate music that endures rather than fades with trends. My favourite formats? Vinyl LPs and SACDs, Blu-ray audio and high resolution downloads. I don't expect to earn a living as a songwriting in todays social climate though, although it isn't impossible.

Someone decent, honest and warm-hearted. A fine singer, cook and a good laugh, maybe a musician or naturalist/garden lover. A nature lover greatly appreciated. I'm familiar with psychology to some degree and have read 'The Love Secret - The New Science Of Romantic Relationships'.
I did become exasperated with online dating and it may have showed. Too often it's all about money and status etc. I'm not a rich guy but I have at least a decent home with a garden and I don't depend on anyone else's money. Neither can I afford to travel the world to see other people's cultures although much of it interests me in documentary form.
